Finalists in the Regional Challenge

The final of the inaugural Region 15 Weekend Challenge was played at North Manly Bowling Club on Saturday 18th April. Twelve teams of triples made up of players not involved in midweek pennant entered the competition. The winners of Section 1, North Sydney’s Northern Stars 1, played off against the winners of Section 2, Chatswood/Artarmon. All the teams participated on the final day by playing against their respective placegetters in the opposing section. Region 15 Representative Margaret Brady was on hand to present the Region 15 Challenge Cup to the worthy winners, the Chatswood/ Artarmon team of Carol Turnock, Linda Campbell and Ruth Hanson, who came home strongly to win by 6 shots. Karyn Murphy from Avon North Shore donated prizes for all the players, and players and guests enjoyed a delicious High Tea provided by our hosts to complete the celebrations.
