Pennant RPOs 2018

CONGRATULATIONS ST. IVES GRADE 4

The Regional play-offs for Pennant were played at Harbord in glorious conditions on Wednesday 9th May. North Shore’s St Ives Grade 4 team won through to the State Play-offs, to be held in August, defeating Mona Vale 42/20, with both rinks carding a win. It was a close fought game early on with the scores equal after 12 ends, however St Ives pulled away to finish with a convincing victory. Congratulations to all players, it was a great team effort!

In the Grade 1 play-off, Harbord played superb bowls to cruise to an easy win over Neutral Bay, 52/22. This will now be the 6th year in a row that Harbord has played in the State Pennant Finals. Congratulations and good luck for August!

There was no Grade 2 play-off as Manly/Warringah did not field any Grade 2 this year, so North Shore’s Warrawee team automatically went through to the State play-offs.
The Grade 3 play-off was won by Seaforth against Mosman. Seaforth got off to a strong start and were consistent throughout the match. There was a close tussle on one rink, but ultimately Seaforth won both rinks and finished with a decisive 43/28 victory.
