On a cold, wintery day with a biting wind (but, at least, no rain) 32 players from each of our Region 15 and neighbouring Region 16 took to the greens at Warrawee BC for the annual Anita Linden Trophy contest. Region 15 has held this trophy for the past few years and, after the morning game, had a lead on the master scoreboard, 119-97. But after lunch, as the temperature plummeted, so too did our performance on the green, and Region 16 sailed past us to claim the trophy 218-206. Nevertheless, everyone enjoyed day of great friendship with bowlers from across the northern half of Sydney. Warrawee catered beautifully for the occasion, and District officials and spectators persevered on the sidelines with the help of jackets, beanies and rugs!
