A Neutral Bay trio have become back-to-back Triples Champions after a hard-fought final played at Lindfield Bowling Club.  The team of Betty-Anne Cleveland, Trish Tamaoki and Judy Moyes (skip) from Mosman played the Neutral Bay team of Elizabeth Blackwell, Jenny Palmer and Jenny Hepburn (skip).  The score was 8 all after 10 ends, and on the 11th end Neutral Bay was holding 4 shots until Judy came into the head and cut it down.  Neutral Bay crept ahead in the next few ends to lead 14-10 after 14 ends, but Mosman wasn’t giving in . On the 15th end Trish trailed the jack to go one up, and Judy drew a second shot.  Jenny Hepburn’s draw to cut it down just missed, bringing the score to 14-12.  Then Neutral Bay steadied and managed one shot on both the 16th and 17th ends to gain a 16-12 advantage going into the last end.  Despite Judy drawing a beautiful shot with her last bowl, it wasn’t good enough, with Neutral Bay victorious in the match by 3 shots.  Congratulations to both teams, it was a wonderful match to watch.  Good luck to Neutral Bay who will play off in the Regional Play-off later in the year.
