The Final of the Open District Pairs was played on June 4th at Turramurra between the teams of Elizabeth Blackwell & Jenny Palmer  (Neutral Bay) and Lorraine Hazzard & Kay King (Belrose).  Lorraine and Kay played extremely well; however Elizabeth and Jenny were at their best and drew away to win convincingly, 24-7.  They will now go on to play in the Regional Play-off in August.

SENIOR PAIRS

The Senior Pairs final was played on Friday 7 July 2017 at Belrose Bowling Club between Brenda Walker and Gill Barton (Neutral Bay) and Heather Bradley and Sue O’Keefe (Warrawee). The greens were super slick, and all the players struggled to get their weight for the first few ends. The scores were close; however the Neutral Bay team scored five shots to take a handy lead midway into the game. Warrawee never gave up and really made a fighting effort towards the end, playing some superb bowls, but Brenda and Gill managed to hold onto their lead and took out the match 20-10. They will now represent the District in the Regional play-offs in August.
