Congratulations to the team of Denise Owen, Sue Addison, Jenny Hole and Julie Hayden who have taken 3rd place in the WBNSW State Carnival at Port Macquarie on Friday 27 May 2016. The girls were Section 16 winners, then won their two matches in the finals knockouts, against Belmont and Charlestown, to be into the final day. In the semi-final, Mosman were defeated by the Kurri Kurri team skipped by Gail Sheehan. In the “gold medal” match, Kurri Kurri went on to defeat Jan Rolf’s team from Merrylands, while in the “bronze medal” match, Mosman defeated the Grafton District Services team skipped by Lorraine Demery to claim 3rd place. On the green, they were great ambassadors for the District … well done, girls!

Congratulations also to the team of Pam Carpenter, Lea Eastaugh, Belinda Henderson and Cynthia Palmer from Neutral Bay who also won their Section with six wins but were beaten by Belmont in the first round of the play-off.
