WBNSW qualifying rounds for the Australian Indoor Singles were held from 3 – 5 May at Warilla Bowling and Recreation Club. 76 Players from throughout NSW entered and competed for a place in the top 14 to advance to the Australian Indoor at Tweed Heads in August. North Shore District Secretary Jenny Hepburn from Neutral Bay Club qualified in 13th position and is off to the Australian Indoor. Lesley Szumylo, also from Neutral Bay Club and who was District Secretary for the former Lower North Shore, came in at 15th place and is the “first reserve”. Congratulations to “the secretaries” … perhaps their success will  provoke a rush of nominations for the position of District Secretary in future?
